the government. the king himself. the military police. they've all been lying to us, marco. it's not what we used to think it was. it's not just the titans anymore.

the reiss family. krista's family, but she's not krista anymore. her real name is historia reiss. her father didn't want anything to do with her so don't blame her. she didn't know.

Yes, that's what I am saying. They've been lying for so long that everybody not them think it's the truth. Whoever makes the rules, it's not King Fritz, it's the Reiss family.

And neither did I, not until Levi told us. Krista Lenz was just the name she came into the military with. Before that, she was living away from her father. He made her change her name to Krista, but now she wants us to call her Historia. Either way, she's supposed to be the queen and that's what Levi wants. Get rid of the king and the rest of the Reisses and put Historia where she belongs and turn things around. Only Levi was a real jerk about it. He and Hange have done some terrible things too now that we're on his squad. Honestly, Marco, I don't know what or who we're fighting for anymore.

This doesn't... it doesn't make any sense. Are you saying they're rebelling? Or - I don't know what it is, if they're not really rebelling but doing the right thing. The King's a liar? I just don't even know what to say, Sasha....

i don't either, marco. like i said, nothing makes sense anymore. it was easier when i thought we only had to fight titans, but now we have to fight humans too. we're rebels now. we can get into so much trouble...

everything's terrible. that's why i didn't tell any of you guys before since all of you are behind.

People fighting people shouldn't even happen! I mean - if what you say is true, it needs to, but we're supposed to fight against the Titans, not each other!

God, this is awful... But thank you for telling me. I think it's better to know the truth, even if it's horrible.

what i'm saying is true! this isn't what i signed up for. i joined because i wanted a better life for me, not to hurt people.

i miss the rest of the squad, but... but i don't know not if i want to go back to that.
