[ His heart twists. When he said he'd heard the yelling, he was hoping it was just muffled noise bouncing off the walls. He'd forgotten about everyone else in the midst of their scuffle - except for the existence of all of the accused that had touched what was his - and didn't think about how their misfortune would be spread to the ears of the others.

He finally gives Marco a sharp look. It's dangerous and disobedient, but he needs to make it known that he doesn't take any of Marco's words lightly. ]

Don't act like you know anything about Armin. None of you do... you don't know how he is.

I refuse... I completely refuse to just accept that any of them touched him. I don't care what reason. Those two took everything away, I won't let them take away any more of what's mine from me. Not now, not ever. And I especially won't let Armin just negotiate himself away like that, either. He's not allowed to... just like I'm not allowed to.

You don't have to accept that they touched him, you don't even have to be okay with it. But understand why he did it. I doubt he'll be doing it again - but you're gonna have to talk to him, not yell at him. Get him to understand why you don't want him to.

That's gonna work out a lot better for you two than what was just going on, Eren.

So you'd do that to Jean in my position? Get mad at him for ending up with other people, then sleep with people you know hurt him before for some wild plan? Don't bullshit me, Marco, just don't.

I want to go home. I don't fucking understand the logic of any of this bullshit here. It's all backwards.

[ marco's not even answering that first part. mostly because he and jean have talked about that kind of thing, but he also knows - if he had to, he'd probably do exactly what armin thought he needed to, to keep jean safe. he hasn't needed to, but he would.

eren doesn't want to hear that, though. at least that second part, he can help with. ]

I know. And for what it's worth, I'm sorry about it. If I could, I'd find a way to send you all home.
